A couple of days ago, I ordered some puzzle books. Some collections with only one puzzle-type per book. I love to buy the variety puzzle books, but I don't love to do all of the puzzles. So I have stacks of puzzle books taking up space on my bookshelves.
So, I'm ripping out the puzzles I actually want to do and recycling the rest. And resolving to not buy more variety packs.
As I go through these, I see, in some of the older ones, some of Pic's scribblings. I'm glad we've gotten so far, but oh, she was so little.
I think the oldest books I've found so far is eight years old*. How is it that I can declutter but then always find more stuff just lurking?
(Speaking of old things, I'm wondering how much of a problem is it that peanut butter I ate on my peanut-butter-and-pickle sandwich tonight had a best-by date of September 2014...)
Happy New Year!
* Make that eight-and-a-half.
