Oh, I just wrote an entire post on the heaps of stuff I own and how I'm only kind of dealing with those piles...and then I somehow hit a wrong set of keys and lost my post. (Yeah...I should be writing elsewhere and then copy/pasting here, but I'm not. Ah, well.)
So I'll write more later. But for now, I'll just post what I've gotten rid of this week...so far.
It's a bit more than three things.
Here they are:
- I've been letting go of a lot of board books, some books that are for very young 'uns, and any Junie B. Jones books we have. (Neither Pic nor I enjoy Junie B. Jones as a character. And where she sometimes reminds me of Ramona Quimby, the Ramona books really felt a lot more like life, where people change and families deal with some real problems. And in the Ramona books there is a focus on more than just the youngest character and her cohort.)
- In the bottom picture, that book on the bottom row, in the middle, is some very weird book I picked up because it was weird. It looks like a notebook. The pages are pretty thick and there are only images and words on one side of each page. And the pages look like you could take them out pretty easily. But what makes it super weird (other than I have no idea what it is...no cover or identifying information) is that the words aren't words. It looks like a substitution code or something. But...I don't care enough to figure it all out to keep the book.
- That odd third picture...I cleaned out a plastic container of hair stuff and whatnot I've had forever. Pictured are weird thick hairties that don't really actually stretch. I've never used them. Not pictured: bandages (unused) I've had for twenty years, little rubber bands for hair that were hard and brittle and breaking, old toothbrushes (I use them to clean, but I don't need a million), combs I don't use, and so on.
Ok, and so I must needs to get back to it before I lose all motivation for the night and fall into bed.
