Here are the three things I've gotten rid of:
(What?! Is this a picture?! And excessive punctuation?! But, really, I haven't included a picture in so very long. I would have included a picture of my now-gone high heels in my last post, but I learned that I can no longer get pictures to move from my phone to my computer. And, because I have a dumb smartphone, I cannot just email them to myself or somesuch.)
- to-go cup - this was a gift and I appreciate it, but we have a weird tendency to have too many drinking vessels...I've been really careful about this in the last five or six years
- the other two are cases only - I put the actual movies into one of our dvd folder-things (neither of these are movies I can enjoy without picking apart, but they're both movies I can put on for noise and not really pay attention to at all...which probably defeats the purpose of putting a movie on...)
- (not pictured, but also departed - one pajama top, a Dora the Explorer picture/sticker book, a bunch of jewelry...from high school, geez)
Re: our movies - We have tons of VHS cassettes. I used to think I'd never want to get rid of them, but I'm finally at a point where I'd rather have the space. Even if I get rid of VHS covers, the movies still take up a ton of space. But when I get rid of DVD cases, space saved! So I'd like to slowly replace our VHS cassettes with DVDs as I find the movies at the thrift store.
(When we first moved into the rv - which we no longer live in...or even own - we got rid of all of our DVD cases. I have to say that was weirdly exhilarating and anxiety-producing. Sometimes I miss having the easy access to the information on the cases or on the inserts, but not enough to want them back.)
