Or something like that.
Saturday was, ahem, tough. Low and blah and not at all easy.
Sunday was much better. Cardo was in town for five hours and we spent an hour and forty-five minutes of his short visit walking. (I love that Pic still indulges us in this. True, she'd rather stay at home in her pajamas and use the computer this last year or two, but she still comes with us as long as she can roller skate while we walk.)
The work project I just launched is getting underway. The first few months are going to be educational for me, to say the least. But I like to be challenged and to figure out new things (as long as I have an initial interest in the area).
We finally got a bit more wintry weather 'round these parts. We managed to get him a homeschool hike yesterday with our group. About halfway through, the sprinkling rain was more insistent and the wind was persistent, but we were finished before the heavier rain came.
I'm looking forward to more family time this weekend. Walking will, no doubt, be involved.
In the meantime, I might be making ice cream in my blender soon: I came across this post of recipes yesterday, although I don't remember how. And, yes, I want to try the spinach ice cream. I'm thinking to try almond milk. I'll buy it made first to see how I like it, and, if I do, I'll try my hand at making it (also in the blender). I don't handle cow milk all that well. And the one time I had coconut ice cream, it made my throat feel weirdly numb, and not just from the cold.
In other food notes: Rice, beans, and avocado for breakfast this morning. Probably the same for lunch tomorrow. I successfully made rice that was neither crunchy nor mushy (and it certainly wasn't both at the same time, which is how my rice usually turns out).
Dinner: Egg salad sandwich with avocado. Mandarin oranges on the side.
(Why, yes, I do have some avocados I need to eat right now.)
Also in the meantime, I'm enjoying, again, Simple Homeschool's Day-in-the-Life series.
And, yes, I've given up on trying to figure out why Typepad and I aren't getting along. Extra spaces? That's all right! Pictures not posting? I can live with that!
I don't care to spend the energy trying to figure that out right now. Maybe later...
