I unpacked our one full closet yesterday in search of our wonderful battery chargers. I found artwork, washcloths, my two dresses, a small bag of batteries, Blockus,....
Nary a battery charger was to be found. So just as we arrived at our outing today, I turned on the camera only to have it tell me it's poor battery had been exhausted and die.
I still have no idea where the chargers are. Nor where the razors are. How do we lose stuff like this in eleven square feet (or whatever)?
I am finishing off a little tray of lemon cilantro hummus. Tangy and bright. Lovely. Except that my tongue is now all garlicky and I'm too tired to figure out something cold to drink so I'll be enjoying a nice warm juice.
I am possibly looking for someone to wrap my head in plastic.
Since we've headed out on the road, my hair has been less than happy. First there was the hard water in Vegas (to be remedied by boiling it before I use it in my baking soda solution?). Now I don't know what the deal is. I might have been using too much baking soda. Maybe my hair is just readjusting to the baking soda. (It's been almost a month, though, so get with it, hair!)
So I've cut back on the baking soda and have cut out the liquid castille altogether. (Oops. I thought that it might help my hair but I think it was only building up instead.) We'll see how this goes.
I was also thinking of trying a hot oil treatment. I know the basic technique, but I think I'll have Cardo help me wrap my head. (Lucky him.) (I wonder if the ecological and personal health benefits of swearing off conventional shampoo will be completely cancelled out if I wrap my head in plastic wrap. Is there an alternative to the plastic wrap?)
Okay, that's enough thought-spewing for now. Must sleep soon. Or read some more.
